• Age-friendly health service

    AN Indigo Health consortium has received Victorian Government funding for a project that will pioneer an aged-friendly approach to health care for older people across Indigo Shire.

    The consortium, Beechworth Health Services – which is taking a lead role, Indigo North Health, Indigo Shire, Upper Hume Primary Care Partnership and Yackandandah Health, have secured a $343,000 grant from the Better Care Victoria Innovation fund for the ‘Building An Age-Friendly Health System’ project.

    Beechworth Health Services, Chief Executive Officer, Mark Ashcroft, said the project would be managed by Dr Kathleen Brasher – a Melbourne based consultant, researcher and international expert on building age-friendly communities.
