Scholarship helps Will settle into university

LAST week’s Beechworth Rotary Club dinner meeting marked a special occasion with the award of the Jack Tully Memorial Scholarship to a student who completed Year 12 studies at Beechworth Secondary College last year.

The young recipient, Will O’Connor, this year enrolled in a three-year science degree at Melbourne University.

With a passion for the environment, Will said a major – a specialisation – in environmental science would be undertaken at the university in the last year of his degree.
