BEECHWORTH Rotary Club’s new president Jim Fiford’s vision is to keep forging ahead with projects that help the local community, increase club membership as well as foster international understanding through the Rotary global network.

Mr Fiford took over the reins from Lesley Browne who had held the position for two years at the club’s 46th annual change-over dinner held at the George Kerferd Hotel on the June 19 that formally recognised the role.

With this year’s Rotary International’s theme “Rotary Connects to the World,” Mr Fiford said the club helped the worldwide Rotary community promote international understanding as well as aid humanitarian projects such as Polio Plus and Shelter Box.
