WINEMAKERS from around Victoria were given a radical new way of approaching vine pruning last Wednesday at a workshop that changed the thinking of generations.
Up to 50 people huddled against the cold in the Brown Brothers winery vines to hear from oenologist and viticulturist Mia Fischer.
The Australian Wine Research Industry (AWRI) facilitated a workshop on vine pruning at the Milawa winery with Mia from vine pruning consultants Simonit and Sirch presenting detailed information on pruning grapevines for longevity.
