Local residents become Australian citizens

THREE Indigo Shire residents became Australian citizens in an Australia Day ceremony held in Indigo Shire Council office grounds at Mayday Hills.

Beechworth's Ludovic Baulacky originally from Mauritius, Jessica Devi from Wahgunyah who hails from Fiji with Yackandandah's Celia Haley from the United Kingdom made the pledge to the nation before Mayor Bernard Gaffney.
