Local residents become Australian citizens

THREE Indigo Shire residents became Australian citizens at a ceremony held in the Indigo Shire Chambers on Australia Day.

Laura Martinac from Chiltern, originally from the United Kingdom, Nils (Pontus) Jakobsson from Beechworth who hails from Sweden and Gooramadda's Doris Langer from Germany pledged their loyalty to Australia in front of presiding officer, Mayor Sophie Price.
