LEIGH Privett was born in in Melbourne and when 17-years-old hitchhiked to the northern Victorian town of Kerang to start work as an articled surveyor.
When qualified he took off to Western Australia and later shifted to Albury where he lived for 40 years, before moving to Stanley a decade ago.
What do you do workwise?
I was a licensed surveyor and loved moving around and the work challenges.
