Endurance test worth the pain

THERE were surely times during his 18 hour endurance test on Saturday when Ross Hill thought about pulling the pin.

The 44–year–old Wangaratta resident was attempting the tough individual cycling challenge of 'Everesting', requiring him to ride up and down the back side of the Taminick Gap climb, just out of Wangaratta, 82 times during the day to reach the 8848m elevation of Mount Everest.
